About me

About me

Welcome,

My name is Ester Suagher; I am an Italian registered nurse specialising in body massage, an Aqua Massage Therapist and an expert in holistic techniques.

I would like to tell you something more about my professional history:

  • In 2006 I graduated in Nursing at the Bicocca University of Milan and, during my first working year in a nursing home, I had the opportunity to obtain the Master in Palliative Care, which allowed me to work in a community in collaboration with the Hospice in the Bergamo area (north Italy).
  • Then, I had a short experience in the gynaecology department, at the Main Hospital of Pavia, working with mothers and women with gynaecological disorders.
  • For seven years I then decided to work in a Spinal Unit with patients suffering from pathologies of the spinal cord, often with respiratory problems, tracheotomy and NGT tube and mobility problems. This experience has given me a deep knowledge of spinal pathologies, and the collaboration with colleagues, who applied complementary therapies such as Acupuncture to treat their pain, has been very important for getting to know complementary therapies.
  • In addition, after maternity leave, in 2011 I had the opportunity to work in endoscopy. Then, I went to work in the Subacute care unit. During this period I obtained a Master in Management at the La Sapienza University of Rome (2016) and I started collaborating with the manager of the department.
  • By choice, in 2018 I decided to move with my husband and children here to the UK. I started working in the hospital as a Nursing Assistant. During all these years of nursing experience, the constant of my life has always been the integration of phytotherapy and holistic therapies thanks to both the important footprint of my loving herbalist mother and the meeting of Claudio Colombo - one of the few Unicist homoeopaths who follows the original homoeopathic teachings of its founder Hahnemann - who has always supported and guided me in my steps and personal growth. In the UK, my passion for everything related to the natural world and complementary medicine has proved even stronger. Person as a whole: body, mind and spirit and not as a single part or symptom.

Already in my first Master's degree, completed in 2006, I learned many relaxation techniques dedicated to terminal patients: this proves how much it is important not only to consider illnesses and bodies but also how fundamental is the connection between mind and soul.

My interest in pain has always been my key and trying to heal or relieve it with the approach of alternative therapies has become fundamental in my path. The importance of physical contact and touch is part of my background, with professionalism, delicacy and care.

This is why I have decided to become a massage therapist and Aqua Massage therapist working with pregnant mums. I have taken courses in Indian holistic massage, using aromatherapy and some basic points of reflexology to relax and relieve some pain characteristic of our society relating to posture, back and neck, without forgetting the relaxation of muscle and psychic well-being: “A healthy body is a healthy mind”.

Not only does massage mean for me helping people relax, but it is as well a way of taking care of them and their problems with the flow of my hands. The Aqua Massage also allows me to work on pregnant women in the supine position, is suitable for any individual as it improves the circulation, and has a detox as well as relaxing action. I use 100% organic products in my massage sessions; plus, as a holistic operator, I love to include advice about lifestyle, nutrition, and a possible choice of supplements to help the whole person’s wellbeing. In addition, creating guided relaxation group work in which the scents of nature contained in essential oils are explored and helping people to love each other by conducting a relaxing foot massage is one of my activities.

With love for love,

Ester
